Here are the components of blood:
Plasma
- yellowish liquid portion of the blood
- transport nutrients to the cells and carries waste materials
- also called red corpuscles or erythrocytes and constantly produced by the bone marrow
- they transport oxygen from the lungs to all of the living tissues of the body and carry away carbon dioxide
- also called as the "soldiers of the body"
- they fight foreign bodies that cause disease and infections.
- smaller than red blood cells
- produce substances needed for blood to clot
